Slee FJ60/FJ62 Rear Bumper and Tire Carrier



 

Note: The tire carrier has been changed and the tire is now centered on the truck. The license plate is mounted to the swingarm and not inside the tire. Some of the pictures are old, but still show the main construction.

The carrier is also supplied with the new style bearing cap that can be unscrewed for easy of maintenace. The springloaded pin has been replaced with a custom machined stainless steel pin for better corrosion resitance.

The Slee Rear Bumper and Tire Carrier for FJ60 and FJ62 Land Cruisers are ready to ship. The bumper is formed out of 3/16" plate and mounts to the frame and rear cross member. The bumper features an integrated 2" receiver and heavy duty tow points.

The tire carrier uses a heavy duty spindle with tapered bearings as a hinge point. The tire mounts is adjustable for different offset wheels and will accommodate up to a 37" tire. The tire carrier also has a integrated mount for a Hi-Lift jack. 

A spring loaded drop pin ensures safe automatic latching in the open position and also serves as a safety pin for closed positions. Latching of the tire carrier is done with a over-the-center U bolt latch.

The bumper is finished with 60% gloss powder coat finish. The pre-treatment includes baking to remove all oil, phosphate washing, sandblasting and then a powder coating is applied.
