Kevin prefers to keep his spare tire mounted inside the truck. He wanted a tire carrier that would safely and securely keep the tire in plate, take up as little space as possible and still leave half of the cargo area open for long items. The tire carrier is constructed of 2" square tubing. It bolts to the floor using existing floor holes and the holes where the third row seat brackets attach. Hooks were added for securing cargo. The rack was dimensioned to fit a Tuff Box underneath it for storage or tools and recovery gear. The tire is held down by a large 'wing bolt' that screws into the frame of the rack.
